LNG Industry,
Reuters is reporting that Golar LNG’s, first-of-its-kind, LNG plant has shipped its first cargo.
Gazprom Marketing and Trading reportedly shipped the cargo using the Galicia Spirit. The tanker was initially filled with 38 000 m3 and, shortly after, was then topped up with another 100 000 m3.
This operation was a great test, and an even bigger success for Golar LNG. Looking to the future, the company aims to roll out similar plants in Equatorial Guinea with Ophir Energy; and in Senegal-Mauritania with BP.
