General Dynamics NASSCO has launched the world's first LNG-powered containership, Isla Bella.
The ship ceremony was attended by more than 3400 shipbuilders, their families, and others.
The LNG-powerd containership is part of a two-ship contract signed in 2012 with TOTE.
The LNG-powered ships will also include a ballast water treatment system, making them the greenest ships of their size anywhere in the world.
The Jones Act-qualified ships will operate between Jacksonville, Florida and San Juan, Puerto Rico.
Isla Bella also marked NASSCO's 100th launch.
