LNG Industry,
Registration is now open for the first training course to be run at GTT’s new Training Centre.
The LNG Cargo Operations Course course will take place at GTT’s facilities in Saint-Rémy-lès-Chevreuse, near Paris, on 23 June 2014.
The course is open for up to six students and will be based on the SIGTTO Suggested Competency Standards for Ships Officers, and will be approved accordingly by DNV GL.
Lasting for five days, students will experience a blend of cargo operations, (using a new LNG operations simulator), lectures, guided self-study and assessment throughout the course and upon successful completion will receive a DNV GL (SIGTTO) endorsed certificate.
The introduction of the course is part of GTT’s commitment to help the industry address the developing shortage of experienced personnel, by passing on its extensive experience and expertise in the design of LNG containment systems and the associated cargo equipment and infrastructure, through the recently opened training centre.
