RasGas delivers milestone LNG cargo to CPC Corp., Taiwan

RasGas Company Ltd has announced that it recently delivered its 500th long-term LNG cargo to CPC Corp., Taiwan.
The milestone LNG cargo was loaded aboard CPC's Taitar (TaiwanQatar) No. 4 vessel at Ras Laffan port on 5 March 2016, under the long term Sales and Purchase Agreement (SPA) between CPC Corp., Taiwan and Ras Laffan Liquefied Natural Gas Company Ltd (II).
Khalid Sultan R. Al Kuwari, Chief Marketing & Shipping Officer, RasGas, said: “As a long-term LNG supplier to CPC, RasGas is pleased to achieve this major milestone with our long-standing partners. We have come a long way since signing our first ever SPA with CPC in 2005. Last year, we extended the partnership to joint corporate social responsibility (CSR) activities with CPC through the ‘Energising Education’ initiative. We look forward to continuing to grow our relationship with CPC and the people of Taiwan even further.”
The ‘Energising Education’ initiative benefitted nine local schools in Taichung, Taiwan. It provided improvements and upgrades to educational resources.
