GasLog announces delivery of LNG carrier

GasLog Ltd has announced the delivery of the fully owned LNG carrier Solaris, from Samsung Heavy Industries Co. Ltd.
The LNG carrier has commenced a medium-term charter to Shell Tankers Singapore (Private) Ltd, a subsidiary of Royal Dutch Shell plc.
The LNG carrier is a 155 000 m3 tri-fuel diesel electric (TFDE) vessel. The LNG carrier is classified to the ABS ENVIRO+ notation, signifying the highest level of environmental protection and energy conservation.
The LNG carrier is also equipped with a new type of cargo compressor that will reduce greenhouse gas emissions and offer enhanced cargo and heel management.
GasLog has one further LNG carrier newbuilding due for delivery in 2014, as well as one in 2015, four in 2016 and four in 2017.
