Papua New Guinea gas project to supply LNG to BP

The agreement, starting this month, will provide BP with about 450 000 tpy of LNG over an initial three-year period, rising to about 900 000 tpy for the following two years.

 

Mitsubishi acquires 25% stake in Bangladesh LNG terminal

According to Reuters, Mitsubishi Corp. has reached an agreement to acquire a 25% stake in the Summit LNG terminal in Bangladesh, and is planning to help in the development of an offshore receiving facility in the country.

KfW IPEX-Bank to advise Pieridae on Goldboro LNG loan

The Canadian energy company has appointed KfW IPEX-Bank as an adviser in assisting it to finalise a US$-multibillion untied loan guarantee from the German federal government for the construction of the Goldboro LNG facility in Nova Scotia, Canada.

According to Reuters, Zhenhua Oil Corp. – a Chinese company and subsidiary of Chinese defence conglomerate Norinco – has established a new business unit, which will invest in LNG terminals.
