Saga LNG Shipping’s LNG carrier Saga Dawn has delivered its first cargo to JOVO’s Dongguan Terminal, successfully completing its maiden voyage from Singapore LNG.
Saga Dawn has a capacity of 45 000 m3 and is the world’s first LNG carrier featuring an IMO type A LNG containment system, based on LNT Marine’s patented LNT A-BOX design
The vessel brings new life to Saga LNG Shipping’s small and ageing mid-sized LNG fleet, which has seen no newbuilds added to its number in over a decade.
“As Saga Dawn officially enters the global LNG fleet, we wish her and her crew safe and smooth sailing in the many years of service that lie ahead. Today, a mountain of hard work behind us, we take a moment to celebrate this incredible achievement and we take aim at our next goal; building up our fleet of mid-sized LNG carriers to enable new and stranded markets with access to cost-effective LNG”, says David Wu, Founder and CEO of Saga LNG Shipping.
