Angola LNG details restart plans

LNG Industry,

Angola LNG has announced that it plans to restart LNG production from its LNG plant in Soyo in 4Q15, with LNG cargoes expected in 1Q16.

Angola LNG stopped production in April 2014 due to a piping failure in the flare and relief system.

Angola LNG said that there were no injuries as a result of the incident, and no environmental damage. The company pulled forward its shutdown to allow its contractor Bechtel to address items associated with the incident, and address plant capacity issues.

In a statement, Angola LNG said that the safety of the plant and its people will be the main consideration at all times during the restart and ramp-up operations.
