Gazprom and OMV discuss cooperation issues

According to the statement, the parties discussed current issues related to cooperation. It was noted that last year was marked by the signing of documents that were of strategic importance for further interaction in a wide range of areas.
Gazprom claims that special attention was paid to the increasing demand for gas supplied by the company to Austria. From 1 January to 27 January 2019, the company claims that gas exports reached a total of an estimated 1.2 billion m3. This is a 35% increase compared to the same period in 2018.
According to the statement, Miller and Seele also discussed the on going construction of the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline. It was noted that the construction phase is on schedule. Gazprom claims that both parties highlighted the importance of creating a new route for exports from Russia with a view to improving the energy security of Europe.
