LNG Industry,
The US Department of Energy (DOE) has issued an order denying Sierra Club’s request for a rehearing of orders granting Cameron LNG LLC long-term authorisation to export LNG by vessel to non-Free Trade Agreement (FTA) countries from the Cameron LNG terminal in Cameron and Calcasieu Parishes, Louisiana, US.
Cameron LNG had previously been granted a conditional order to export 12 million tpy of LNG to non-FTA countries, over a term of 20 years.
The DOE has concluded that a grant of the requested authorisation is not inconsistent with the public interest and that Cameron LNG’s Motion for leave to answer Sierra Club’s request for rehearing is granted.
