Port Arthur LNG receives export authorisation

The US Department of Energy (DOE) has issued an order granting Port Arthur LNG LLC long-term multi-contract authorisation to export LNG by vessel from the proposed Port Arthur LNG Project to countries that have a free trade agreement (FTA) with the US.
Port Arthur LNG had filed an application for long-term, multi-contract authorisation to export domestically produced LNG in a volume of 10 million tpy from the proposed LNG terminal in Port Arthur, Texas, US.
The LNG project facilities will include two liquefaction trains capable of producing up to 5 million tpy of LNG each.
