Technip wins LNG plant contract in China
Technip has won an engineering, procurement and technical assistance contract from Fengzhen Wanjie Gas Co. Ltd for an LNG plant in Fengzhen City, Inner Mongolia Province, China. The plant will have a 0.35 million tpa LNG train and a 0.3 million Nm3/day compressed natural gas (CNG) station.
The contract will cover basic engineering design of the process plant, basic and detailed engineering design of an LNG tank and procurement of key equipment, including the main cryogenic heat exchanger, mixed refrigerant compressor, boil-off gas compressor, LNG in-tank pumps, cryogenic control and on-off valves.
The LNG plant will be based on an Air Products liquefaction process and Technip operating centers in Shanghai, China, and Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, will carry out the contract. Plant start-up is expected for the latter half of 2016.

Earlier this month, Technip was awarded the engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contract for Russia's Yamal LNG project.
