Ørsted and BP have signed an agreement for a supply of LNG to be delivered from BP’s portfolio to Ørsted, corresponding to approximately 0.5 billion m3 of natural gas per year.
The five-year delivery agreement will commence from late 2020, and the LNG deliveries will be made to North West Europe and Iberia.
The agreement complements Ørsted’s portfolio and increases utilisation of the regasification facility at Gate terminal in Rotterdam.
Ørsted is a capacity holder at the Gate terminal and 3 billion m3 of import capacity at its disposal per year.
