Reuters is reporting that a LNG shipment from the Sabine Pass LNG terminal, operated by Cheniere and located in Cameron Parish, Louisiana, is due to arrive in China on 11 November.
This is the first cargo to be shipped to China since the country imposed a 10% tariff on US LNG imports.
The delivery will be made by the LNG tanker Ribera Duero Knutsen, which is currently chartered by Spain’s Naturgy.
