Tepco, EGAT conclude LNG agreement
Tokyo Electric Power Corporation (Tepco) has concluded a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand (EGAT), regarding the LNG value chain.
This is Tepco’s first undertaking to develop such an LNG value chain business overseas, and the agreement will cover the procurement, transportation and supply of LNG for electricity generation.
EGAT plans to build a new LNG thermal power station in Thailand and has been negotiating with Tepco towards cooperation in LNG value chain business. The two companies will now implement activities in accordance with the MoU, such as information exchange and mutual training courses.
