Repsol to sell Peru and Ecuador LNG businesses

According to Reuters, Repsol has agreed to sell its LNG businesses in Peru and Ecuador to Chile’s Abastible. The businesses will be sold for a combined price of US$335 million.
Reuters also reports that the two disposals will close in the next few months, and that capital gains will be determined on the currency exchange rate that is finally used.
Repsol also reportedly plans to maintain its exploration and production activities in both of the South American countries, following the sale of the businesses.
