JERA Trading (JERAT) has announced that Sarah Behbehani has joined the company as Head of LNG for the prospective joint LNG operation between JERA and EDF Trading (EDFT).
JERAT is a joint venture (two thirds and one third respectively) between JERA and EDFT, established in April 2017. In July 2018, JERA and EDFT announced the signing of binding agreements to form an LNG optimisation and trading joint venture where JERA’s and EDFT’s LNG optimisation and trading activities will be merged into JERAT (to be renamed JERA Global Markets). This agreement is expected to complete in early 2019.
Behbehani will initially support the integration of JERA’s and EDFT’s LNG activities into JERAT. Once operational, she will head its LNG commercial activities.
Previously, Behbehani was Head of LNG Trading – West at Shell based in Dubai.
“We are delighted to welcome Sarah to JERA Trading. She is a senior leader with over 20 years of international trading experience in LNG and oil. She will bring considerable knowledge and expertise to our new joint venture,” said Sunao Nakamura, Chairman of JERA Trading.
