Papua New Guinea gas project to supply LNG to BP

The agreement, starting this month, will provide BP with about 450 000 tpy of LNG over an initial three-year period, rising to about 900 000 tpy for the following two years.

 

Mitsubishi acquires 25% stake in Bangladesh LNG terminal

According to Reuters, Mitsubishi Corp. has reached an agreement to acquire a 25% stake in the Summit LNG terminal in Bangladesh, and is planning to help in the development of an offshore receiving facility in the country.

 

SHI awarded contract for two LNG carriers

Samsung Heavy Industries has announced that it has been awarded a contract for two 180 000 m3 LNG carriers from a European ship owner, Celsius Tankers.

 
 
 

LNG-fuelled ferry delivered

Wärtsilä Corp. has announced that a new ferry built for the Canadian operator Société des traversiers du Québec, and fitted with a broad scope of Wärtsilä solutions, has been delivered.
