Hans Energy has announced that it has signed a Letter of Intent with an unnamed independent third party to form a joint venture (JV) company to construct and operate an LNG terminal in Guangdong Province, China.
The LNG terminal will serve as the base for the import of LNG into Guangdong and the onward distribution of LNG in the region.
The two companies also intend to form another JV company to construct and operate LNG refill stations in the region.
The respective equity interests of the two companies in these JVs are yet to be determined.
The unnamed counterparty is principally engaged in the sale and distribution of energy products including LNG and LPG.
