MOL and KEPCO name new LNG carrier

Mitsui O.S.K. Lines Ltd (MOL) has taken part in a naming ceremony for a newbuild LNG carrier, which it co-owns with Kansai Electric Power Co. Inc. (KEPCO).
KEPCO President and Director, Yagi, named the LNG Jurojin carrier at Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Ltd’s Nagasaki Shipyard & Machinery Works in Japan.
After delivery, the 288 m long LNG Jurojin will serve a broad range of LNG transport projects, including the Inpex-operated Ichthys LNG Project, located 220 km offshore Western Australia.
