Chevron elects new members to board of directors

Chevron Corp. has announced that Dr. Dambisa Moyo and Dr. Wanda Austin have been elected to the company’s board of directors.
Dr. Moyo, an economist and the founder and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Mildstorm LLC since 2015, will serve on Chevron’s Audit Committee. Her appointment is effective 11 October 2016.
Dr. Austin will serve on the company's Board Nominating and Governance Committee and Public Policy Committee. Her appointment is effective 1 December 2016.
John Watson, Chevron's Chairman of the board and CEO, said: "Dr. Moyo and Dr. Austin bring unique insights that will be valuable to the board […] Dr. Moyo has significant knowledge of macroeconomics, geopolitics and global markets. Dr. Austin has demonstrated leadership and has a strong background in science and technology."
Dr. Moyo currently serves on the boards of Barclays plc; Barrick Gold Corp.; SABMiller plc; and Seagate Technology plc., and previously served as a director of Lundin Petroleum AB from 2009 to 2012.
Dr. Austin has served as President and CEO of The Aerospace Corp. since 2008. She currently serves on the board of The Aerospace Corp.; the Horatio Alger Association; the National Geographic Society; and the University of Southern California.
