Santos to supply LNG to east coast power companies

Reuters are reporting that Australia’s Santos Ltd and its Gladstone LNG joint venture partners would supply 30 PJ of gas to customers including power companies on the country’s east coast over the next two years.
Santos, in a race to boost gas supply to Australia’s eastern market to fend off government limits on exports of LNG in 2018, said the gas, which would otherwise have been exported as LNG, will be sold over 2018 and 2019.
