HHI appoints offshore COO

Hyundai Heavy Industries (HHI) has promoted Mr. Park Jong-bong, Executive VP, to Senior Executive VP, and appointed him as a new COO of its offshore and engineering division.

Park, who has taken over from Mr. Kim Jong-do, is a 34-year veteran in the offshore engineering business. Since he first joined HHI in 1981, Park has served in various roles at HHI including Executive VP of engineering and design department for all engineering works of major offshore projects such as Goliat cylinderical FPSO, SHWE fixed production platform and Gorgon onshore LNG plant modules.
