NextDecade appoints new CFO

NextDecade LLC, which is an LNG project development and management company, has announced that it has appointed Benjamin Atkins as its new Chief Financial Officer (CFO).
Atkins said: “NextDecade is building an impressive portfolio of LNG solutions through collaboration with its customers.
“The company has already achieved remarkable momentum in its commercial and development initiatives with the Rio Grande project in South Texas. I’m excited to join NextDecade and look forward to contributing to its ongoing success.”
Atkins will bring significant financial experience in the energy sector, as he served as the Senior Vice President of GE Capital for 10 years, and as a risk manager in State Street Corp.’s Securities Finance division. In addition to this, Atkins worked at McKinsey & Co., where he served financial services clients.
Kathleen Eisbrenner, the CEO of NextDecade, said: “Benjamin brings with him a distinguished career in finance and business leadership, including experience with high-growth energy companies.
“As CFO, he will be an important contributor during a period of exciting growth for NextDecade in the global LNG marketplace.”
