Reuters is reporting that Malaysia’s Petroliam Nasional Bhd (Petronas) has delivered its first LNG cargo to the world’s largest LNG bunkering vessel, the Kairos.
The loading operation took place at the Penerang regasification terminal (RGTP), in the southern Malaysian state of Johor.
The Kairos has a capacity of 7500 m3 and stopped at Penerang for refueling enroute to Europe from Hyundai’s Mipo dockyard in Ulsan, South Korea. The vessel is owned by Babcock Schulte Energy (BSE) and is currently on charter to Blue LNG (a joint venture company of Nauticor and Klaipedos Nafta).
