Wheatstone LNG receives environmental approval

Chevron has received environmental approval from the Government of Western Australia, clearing the way for work to start on its huge Wheatstone LNG gas export project once it receives federal approval.

 

BPTT begins gas production from Serrette

BP Trinidad and Tobago (bpTT) today announced the start of natural gas production from the Serrette field, offshore Trinidad. Serrette is located in 280 ft (90 m) of water off Trinidad’s south east coast.

 

Woodside wins AU$ 1.5 million from CFMEU

Woodside Petroleum has been awarded AU 1.5 million in compensation by a Federal Court over an illegal strike at its Pluto LNG site back in December 2009, which was actively encouraged by the Construction Forestry Mining and Energy Union (CFMEU).

Arrow LNG, owned by Petrochina and Shell has made an offer of AU$ 520 million (US$ 543 million) to acquire the gas explorer Bow Energy.

 

NNPC reducing stake in Brass LNG

Chevron signs 25 year LNG supply deal with TEPCO

Chevron Corporation has signed binding Sales and Purchase Agreements (SPAs) with Tokyo Electric Power Company (TEPCO) for the delivery of LNG from the Wheatstone natural gas project in Australia.
