According to Reuters, the Pacific NorthWest LNG (PNW LNG) project in northern British Columbia (B.C.), Canada, will face yet further delays. This follows the Federal Environment Minister, Catherine McKenna’s decision to agree to the Canadian Environment Assessment Agency’s (CEAA) request for an additional three months to finalise an impact study.
Nonetheless, Reuters states that Ottawa did announce that a final decision would be made on the project in 2016. The agency was scheduled to deliver the report on 22 March 2016, but claims that more data is required from backers of the project after they provided a number of observations and documents on 4 March 2016.
