Universal Acoustic & Emission Technologies (Universal AET) has supplied turbine exhaust systems for the first two LNG production trains at the Gladstone LNG (GLNG) facility on Curtis Island in Queensland, Australia.
Universal AET worked with Bechtel - the engineering, procurement and construction contractor for the facility - to produce designs for two custom turbine exhaust systems that meet Australian specifications.
The turbine exhaust systems are 30 m tall and include acoustic silencers, ladders and platforms, support structures, ducting, expansion joints, rain stacks, personnel protection features and additional components.
Universal AET also provided two standard design exhaust systems for the Gladstone LNG project.
The LNG project is a US $18.5 billion pioneering venture to convert coal bed methane (CBM) to LNG for export to global markets. It is a major investment in a cleaner energy source for the future.
