Driftwood LNG LLC and Driftwood LNG Pipeline LLC (Driftwood LNG) have filed a request to the US Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) to initiate the pre-filing review process for a proposed LNG facility and associated pipeline.
Driftwood LNG is proposing to construct a 26 million tpy LNG export facility on the west side of the Calcasieu River near Carlyss, Calcasieu Parish, Louisiana, US. Driftwood LNG intends to export the LNG to countries that hold a free trade agreement (FTA) with the US, as well as non-FTA countries.
LNG will be delivered to the proposed export facility from a new 96-mile pipeline that will interconnect with existing pipeline systems.
After receiving all necessary permits, Driftwood LNG intends to commence construction of the LNG project in 2Q18, with a targeted completion date of 2025.
