Golar LNG Partners completes FSRU acquisition
Golar LNG Partners has completed its acquisition of the company that owns and operates the FSRU (floating storage and regasification unit) Golar Igloo from Golar LNG Limited, for a purchase price of approximately US$ 310 million.
Golar Igloo FRSU
The Golar Igloo FRSU was built by Korean shipyard, Samsung Heavy Industries and was delivered in February 2014. The vessel arrived off Kuwait with a commissioning cargo in March 2014, is currently completing its commissioning procedures and has commenced service under a five-year time charter with Kuwait National Petroleum Company (KNPC), supporting the company’s LNG import operations in Kuwait.
