Shell launches helicopter for Prelude
Packed with the very best technology and crew, Shell has taken safety to new heights, by launching an all-weather search and rescue service for the oil and gas industry of Australia. It’s all part of getting ready for Prelude, Shell’s giant floating facility that will liquefy natural gas at sea.
The FLNG facility is designed to operate and stay safely moored even in the most extreme weather conditions.
The Prelude FLNG facility will produce at least 5.3 million tpy of liquids: 3.6 million tpy of LNG, enough to easily satisfy Hong Kong’s annual natural gas needs; 0.4 million tpy of liquefied petroleum gas and 1.3 million tpy of condensate.
