International Gas Research Conference (IGRC2027)

International Gas Research Conference (IGRC2027)

24 May 2027 - 28 May 2027

IGRC2027 will take place in Budapest, Hungary, in May 2027, brings together the gas industry’s latest research and innovation to demonstrate the clear impact that gas has on human progress and global growth.

Rapid global decarbonisation, system flexibility, and energy security depend on a multi-gas ecosystem supported by modernised, repurposed and digitised infrastructure. Across regions, different priorities – economic growth, regulatory ambition, technological leadership and energy independence – create complementary strengths rather than contradictions.

IGRC2027 will bring together Gas innovators across exploration, transmission, storage, LNG & utilisation; hydrogen, biomethane and renewable gas project developers; research institutions and academia; technology, engineering, and digital solution providers; policy makers, regulators, and public authorities, and investors and financial stakeholders.

Policy and regulations must evolve to recognise the importance of these diverse innovation pathways in maintaining affordability and stability while meeting climate goals. A balanced transition requires that technology, regulation, and markets progress together instead of in isolation.

IGRC2027 will showcase practical solutions that bridge regional differences and unlock cross-border energy cooperation. The future energy system will not be sustainable without gas in it.

Join us at IGRC2027 and be there while we write the next page of the gas industry’s role for human progress and global growth!
