Unfortunately, most CM solutions are proprietary stand-alone systems where IT infrastructure and even process data storage is often duplicated and with limited access. The diagnostic portion of such a system provides important actionable information for machine healthcare, but again with limited access, limited functionality, and is sometimes not very transparent.

Moreover, monitoring data and analytics can be correlated with data from other systems connected to the data historian such as CMMS and EAM.
