Tokyo Gas receives first LNG delivery from Gorgon

Tokyo Gas Co. Ltd has announced that it has received its first delivery of LNG from the Chevron-operated Gorgon LNG project.
The 70 000 t delivery was received at the Tokyo Gas Ohgishima LNG terminal in Yokohama City, Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan, and will meet the city’s annual gas consumption requirements of approximately 220 000 average households. The delivery comes as part of a 1.1 million tpy 25-year contract.
This is the fourth delivery of LNG from projects in which Tokyo Gas has secured participation rights, following on from the Darwin LNG project, the Pluto LNG project and the Queensland Curtis LNG (QCLNG) project. With this latest delivery, the company now receives LNG deliveries from 12 different projects across five different countries.
