Downeast LNG pre-filing request approved
The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) has approved Downeast LNG’s request to commence the pre-filing environmental review process for its proposed LNG Import-Export Project.
According to the approval letter, Downeast is planning to convert its proposed import terminal and sendout pipeline into a bi-directional import-export LNG terminal and pipeline.
The planned project would consist of a natural gas pretreatment facility and liquefaction facilities which will be able to process approximately 450 million ft3/d of natural gas, and export approximately 3 million tpa of LNG.
