SLNG to receive LNG cargo
The operator of Singapore’s first LNG import terminal Singapore LNG Corp. (SNLG) is set to receive LNG cargo from Indonesia for its third tank. LNG will be delivered by the LNG carrier Wilpride.
Bloomberg reported that an SLNG spokesman had said that the Lion City's first terminal would be receiving LNG cargo, but that it was “not intended for import into Singapore”.
The SLNG terminal, located on Jurong Island, was opened earlier this year. It currently has a 6 million tpa capacity, although this is expected to rise to 9 million tpa when a fourth facility is completed in 2017.
