First fully loaded Q-Flex LNG vessels unloaded in Belgium
Two fully loaded Q-Flex LNG cargos have been delivered to EDF Trading in Belgium onboard the RasGas’ Al Utouriya and Al Huwaila vessels, which are both serving on long term charters. This is the first time that the ships’ maximum cargos have been unloaded at the Fluxys Zeebrugge terminal.
The achievement is seen as a positive reinforcement of relations between Qatar and the recipients of its supplies of LNG globally. Q-Flex vessels have a capacity of between 210,000 and 217,000 m³ and represent a lower transportation cost per unit of LNG when compared to smaller vessels. RasGas currently has a fleet of 12 Q-Flex vessels and one Q-Max vessel.
