Wärtsilä announces recommended cash offer for Hamworthy

Wärtsilä Corporation has reached agreement with the Board of Hamworthy plc, a UK listed ship-based LNG regaisfication company focussed on the marine and oil and gas sectors, in regards to a recommended cash offer for the acquisition of Hamworthy.

 

Petrofac awarded contract by Queensland Gas Company

Petrofac, the international oil & gas facilities service provider, has secured a £1.4 million Work Management Systems development & implementation contract with the Queensland Gas Company (QGC), a wholly owned subsidiary of BG Group.

 

Wärtsilä in talks to buy regas firm

Wärtsilä is in advanced discussions with Hamworthy regarding an 825 pence per ordinary share cash offer. Hamworthy are producers of ship based LNG regasification systems.

Bechtel to build Sabine Pass liquefaction trains

Cheniere Energy Partners, L.P. and Bechtel Oil, Gas and Chemicals, Inc. have entered into a lump sum turnkey contract for the engineering, procurement and construction of the first two liquefaction trains at the Sabine Pass LNG terminal.

 
 

QGC awards A$19.5 million gas fields contract

QGC Pty Limited, developer of the Queensland Curtis LNG Project, has awarded a A$19.5 million contract to Australian firm Transfield Services for gas field work in the Surat Basin of Queensland.

 
 
 

Hammerfest LNG plant back online

Statoil has brought its LNG plant at Hammer fest back online after an earlier shutdown on October 14.

 

RasGas extends LNG supply agreement with EDF

RasGas has signed a long-term LNG supply agreement with EDF Trading for an annual contract quantity of up to 3.4 million tpy of LNG, equivalent to approximately 4.5 billion m3/yr of natural gas. It marks a further extension of a long-term relationship between RasGas and EDF Trading.

 

Micoperi to build Israeli LNG terminal

State-owned Israel Natural Gas Lines has reportedly signed a deal with Micoperi, the Italian marine contractor, to construct an offshore LNG terminal worth approximately US$ 140 million.
