Penglai Jutal nets module contract for Yamal LNG
Jutal Offshore Oil Services Limited announced that its associated company, Penglai Jutal Offshore Engineering Heavy Industries Company Limited (PJOE) has entered into a construction contract with Yamgaz to build modules for the Yamal LNG project in Russia.
The part awarded to PJOE is Package 3, involving a total 140,000 tons of three trains of pipe rack modules (including two option trains) with the largest module weighing 7172 tons.
The final volume of work will be subject to the confirmation by Yamgaz. The estimated construction period for Train 1 modules is approximately 24 months.
The Yamal LNG project is located on the Yamal peninsula in Northern Russia. Novatek owns 60% stake in the project, with Total and China National Petroleum Corporation each holding a 20% stake.
Yamgaz, the general contractor of the Yamal LNG project, is a consortium composed of Technip, JGC and Chiyoda.
