According to the latest Reuters report, Dominion Energy Inc. has started a scheduled three-week maintenance shutdown at its Cove Point LNG export terminal in Maryland.
Dominion reportedly made this news public in part due to the fact that the routine process of depressurising equipment led to the need to flare some gas at the plant, temporarily causing a strong but harmless natural gas odour to be released.
