Peterbilt Motors Company is introducing a new range of natural gas powered vehicles, its Models 579 and 567 in LNG configurations.
Speaking at the Mid-America Trucking Show, Robert Woodall, Peterbilt Assistant General Manager of Sales and Marketing, said that expanding the models to run on LNG offered its customers “greater choice and flexibility for their business and operation requirements.”
The Models 579 and 567 LNG configurations are available as daycabs. Both trucks are powered by the Cummins-Westport ISX12 G. Production is scheduled for June 2015.
Woodall added: “We offer a natural gas truck option for nearly every application, and we’re pleased to offer our flagship aerodynamic Model 579 and vocational Model 567 in an LNG configuration.”
