PSA carries out audit at Hammerfest LNG
Between 24 -26 June, the Petroleum Safety Authority (PSA) of Norway carried out an audit at Hammerfest LNG.
The audit focused on the disciplines of technical and operational safety, in an attempt to investigate whether selected barriers and their performance requirements comply with requirements set out in regulations, standards and governing documents.
The audit was conducted as planned, was well organised and both presentations and interviews proved a high level of openness.
The PSA identified three improvement points during the audit. These related to the replacement of pressure relief valves, the process for procuring pressure relief valves, and barrier strategy and performance requirements.
