Wärtsilä appoints Deputy to the CEO

Wärtsilä has announced the appointment of Pierpaolo Barbone as Deputy to the CEO.
Mr Barbone will assume this position on 1 November 2015. The new role will be in addition to to his existing position as President of Services, Executive Vice President.
Mr Barbone has held several management positions within the Wärtsilä’s Services business since he joined the company in 1996. He has headed the Services organisation since 2013.
3Q15 results
Wärtsilä has also announced a 9% increase in net sales for 3Q15, although the company’s order intake decreased 17% in the period to €1.086 million.
During the period, Jaakko Eskola was also announced as the President and CEO of Wärtsilä Corp.
Wärtsilä said that it expects its net sales for this year to grow by 5 - 10% and its operational profitability to be 12 - 12.5%.
