Ukraine plans to build LNG terminal

Ukraine has announced plans to build an LNG terminal near Odesa in the near future.
The Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada, Oleksandr Turchynov, said that the LNG terminal will enable Lithuania to receive a diversified supply of energy resources, thus reducing its reliance on Russian gas.
Turchnov added: "Building of the terminal, completed in a record-breaking time of three years, allows Lithuania to make Gazprom reduce prices for gas by over 20%".
Oleksandr Turchynov participated in the Conference of Parliamentary Speakers of the Nordic and Baltic Countries throughout this week.
