Yamal LNG reaches new milestone

Yamal LNG has announced that it has reached a new milestone, having shipping its 30 millionth tonne of LNG since the project commenced operations.

The Nikolay Yevgenov Arc7 ice-class tanker loaded the 411th cargo as the project reached 30 million t of LNG dispatched since the startup of Train 1 in December 2017.

According to the statement, the project produced 18.4 millon t of LNG last year, exceeding its design capacity of just 16.5 million tpy. Last year was reportedly the first full year of simultaneous operation of all three liquefaction trains.

EIG’s MidOcean Energy to acquire additional Gorgon LNG interest from JERA

MidOcean Energy has entered into definitive agreements with JERA Co., Inc. to acquire JERA Gorgon Pty Ltd, which holds JERA’s 0.417% interest in the Gorgon LNG project.
