Sabine Pass seeks authorisation for truck loading facilities

Sabine Pass Liquefaction LLC has filed an application with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) for authorisation to site, construct and operate LNG transport carrier (truck) loading facilities at its Sabine Pass LNG terminal in Cameron Parish, Louisiana, US.

Sabine Pass is specifically seeking authorisation for the following:

• Conventional, cold insulated piping.
• Cryogenic hoses for filling and vapour return.
• Two LNG loading stations (skids), each with two bays capable of loading LNG transport carriers or International Standards Organization (ISO) containers.

The proposed facilities will be used to load LNG from the Sabine Pass Liquefaction Project for delivery via trucks or ISO containers.

Sabine Pass said that potential customers for the project include end-users, who may consume the LNG as a vehicle fuel, as feedstock or for other industrial applications; and entities who may engage in sales for resale of the LNG in interstate commerce.
