OEM welcomes Sabine Pass LNG expansion approval
Our Energy Moment (OEM) last week praised the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) following its release of a final Environment Assessment (EA) for Cheniere Energy's Sabine Pass expansion project.
The positive environmental study allows FERC to move forward with a final determination on the project in the next 90 days.
Commenting on the progress, Andrew Ware, OEM spokesperson, said: "As 2014 comes to an end, we applaud FERC for its thorough review of the Sabine Pass LNG export project.
"We appreciate all the hard work that goes into the review process by FERC and are pleased to see another major milestone achieved. LNG projects like the Sabine Pass expansion must navigate a complex and rigorous regulatory process. When approved, however, the benefits for jobs and economic growth in local communities near the project are enormous."
