On a tropical island just off the coast of Nigeria, hundreds of engineers work around the clock to produce LNG at a plant the size of Lower Manhattan.

The Australia Pacific LNG plant on Curtis Island off the east coast will undergo a partial maintenance over July, August and September.

Chevron idled the second production unit in May to carry out modifications already made on the other two units.

Dominion Energy Inc’s Cove Point LNG production facility in the eastern US will undergo a brief maintenance shutdown in the autumn.
