Punj Lloyd wins Ennore LNG tank contract

Punj Lloyd Group has received a tankage order from Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Ltd valued at Rs 477 crores (US$75 million).
The scope of work includes confirmatory geotechnical investigation and early earth works as part of the construction of two 180 000 m3 capacity full containment LNG tanks for Indian Oil Corp.’s LNG import, storage and regasification terminal. The LNG terminal is located at the Ennore port in Tamil Nadu, India.
The project timelines are challenging, as it must be completed in 33 months. Punj Lloyd was previously involved in the construction of three of the country’s four LNG terminals, namely Dahej, Hazira and Dabhol.
