Our Energy Moment coalition boasts over 40 members

Our Energy Moment announced that over 40 organisations, representing a wide range of business, energy and economic development groups, have now joined its growing coalition. The group is dedicated to raising awareness and celebrating the many benefits of expanded markets for LNG.

Commenting on the achievement on 25 July, Andrew Ware, OEM spokesperson, said: "Today marks a major milestone in OEM's efforts to provide the public with facts about the benefits and opportunities created by expanded LNG export markets.

"Since officially launching in February, OEM has seen tremendous support from Texas to Louisiana to Pennsylvania for increasing natural gas exports. We look forward to working with all of our members to build on this momentum so that the US can add jobs, expand our economy and strengthen our energy security for years to come."

LNG benefits

These groups join a wide range of national thought leaders who have highlighted the benefits that expanded markets for LNG will have on the US economy. It is estimated that LNG exports will generate as much as US$ 86 billion in net benefits to the US economy and help create up to 2.4 million American jobs by 2035 supported by natural gas.

Expanded markets for LNG exports would also incentivise new infrastructure investments worth billions of dollars in American communities, providing more jobs, taxes and revenue for roads and schools in US states that produce natural gas.
